AWS Full Stack Engineer - %100 Remote

<br><span></span><span></span><strong><span>Position Summary<br></span></strong>Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly experienced <strong>Cloud Engineer III</strong> to design, develop, and support modern cloud-native applications in AWS. This is a hands-on full-stack engineering role will be supporting the State of Virginia. The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing production applications in AWS and can quickly contribute to a fast-paced Agile development team.<strong><span>Must-Have Skills</span></strong><ul><li><strong>10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience developing enterprise applications </strong></li><li>Strong experience with <strong>React</strong></li><li>Proficiency in <strong>JavaScript</strong> and <strong>TypeScript</strong></li><li>Strong backend development experience using <strong>Node.js</strong></li><li>Experience building serverless applications with <strong>AWS Lambda</strong></li><li>Experience developing REST APIs using <strong>Amazon API Gateway</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Amazon S3</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Amazon DynamoDB</strong></li><li>Experience with <strong>Amazon RDS</strong></li><li>Experience developing and supporting cloud-native applications on <strong>AWS</strong></li><li>Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture</li><li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments</li><li>U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (no sponsorship)</li></ul><strong><span>Nice-to-Have Skills</span></strong><ul><li>Python scripting</li><li>Terraform</li><li>AWS CDK</li><li>AWS SAM</li><li>.NET/C# (supporting legacy applications)</li></ul><strong><span>Job Responsibilities</span></strong><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain enterprise cloud-native applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.</li><li>Build and support scalable serverless applications leveraging AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.</li><li>Develop secure REST APIs and backend services to support enterprise applications.</li><li>Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, optimize, and support production applications to ensure high availability and performance.</li><li>Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development and cloud architecture.</li><li>Develop scalable, maintainable, and reusable application components following modern engineering standards.</li><li>Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes for AWS-based applications.</li><li>Assist with application modernization efforts by migrating legacy systems to cloud-native AWS solutions.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and deployment processes.</li><li>Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, estimate work, and deliver high-quality software solutions.</li><li>Continuously evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance application performance, security, and maintainability.</li></ul>The hourly pay range for this position is $60 - $65, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.<br>Benefits:<br>We offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k)/retirement plan; and other benefits in accordance with applicable laws.<br>
