Nurse Manager Medical Surgical Progressive Care Unit

Oversee the daily operations of the Medical Surgical Progressive Care Unit, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care. Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to the nursing staff in the unit, promoting a positive work culture and fostering a collaborative team environment. Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and facilitate patient care, ensuring a seamless and comprehensive approach. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for staff and patients. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to nursing staff, identifying opportunities for professional development and growth. Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures. Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff, ensuring a diverse and qualified team. Serve as a liaison between staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals to address and resolve any issues or concerns. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and evidence-based research in nursing management to continually improve the unit's operations and patient outcomes.
