[Remote] Cloud Architect/Engineer (AWS) Senior
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, secure, migrate, and optimize scalable AWS environments while establishing architecture standards, managing infrastructure as code, operating containers, and integrating cloud services with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable cloud architectures using AWS services
- Executing AWS migration strategies including rehosting, re-platforming, and refactoring of applications and infrastructure
- Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Establishing and enforcing AWS architecture standards to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalable operations
- Applying AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks (such as FedRAMP and NIST 800-53), including IAM governance and Zero Trust principles
- Managing cost optimization, performance tuning, and resource monitoring across AWS-native services
- Implementing and operating containerized applications using Amazon ECS, EKS, and/or Docker
- Integrating AWS services with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds, deployments, and infrastructure provisioning
- Collaborating with stakeholders and leading technical discussions to align AWS solutions with mission and organizational objectives
Skills

- 10 + years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required: No
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent
- Minimum Experience: At least10 years of progressive IT experience, including designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions in AWS environments. Experience in hybrid or multi-cloud environments is a plus
- Security Clearance: The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Public Trust suitability
- Location: Remote. limited travel (less than 10%) may be required
- Certification: Prefer advanced cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
